Re: Rant away.....
well, that is the Boot of Shame, that I am supposed to wear everywhere.
I fell off a footpath (yes really! and I was sober too) on the way to work. Originally everyone said "sprain".
Except it didnt get better.
Damage is peroneal tendons, cuboid bone & most likely a lisfranc injury. Lisfranc is hard to diagnose but this needed to be put in plaster for 6 weeks immediately after the initial injury - but that didnt happen.
Now a permanent injury & needs an op which involves plates, screws, 3 months in plaster & 12 months intensive rehab & time off work.
All that & only a 25 - 50% chance of some improvement - but getting desperate & will take those odds.
Then I should be able to ride again... missing it .

Geez, you don't do things by halves! Hope all goes well and a speedy recovery. Don't be limited by their measures or expectations either. There's no accounting for your determination and will. Stay strong

It all comes down to how you ride it.....

HSV GTS Maloo ute sold out before Holden puts it on sale
My question to all the people who purchased one, on the performance of these fantastic cars:
Where are you going to be able to use it?..... taking it overseas?

They cruise around below the speed limit in their Chevy badged rockets with a chubby in their pants just from the fact they know what's under the hood

The power only gets used when someone in a hurry in the next lane tries to pass them

Funny how that article is in the Business Finance section. Only hope the new owners live long enough to see a return on their investment

Great marketing from GMH to get around $85K for a 2 seat ute from the punters. Makes you wonder why GMH just don't keep them all and sell them in 30 years from now for 10 times that price.......

Brake in enters are up in a number of Sydney suburbs by about 25%
Could we delegate some highway patrol police away from their precious speed guns and let them do some real police work ????.....
just sayin'

Yeah I walked into a supermarket the other day and tried to pay one of the shelf packers for my items. I got a funny look. Can't figure out why.......RustyAs wrote:kaneg wrote:\

Re: Rant away.....
Up our way they have upgraded the Entrance Road and called it Central Coast HWY.
It has a median strip and two lanes each way plus a cycle way and pedestrian walkway on both sides.
All very nice,
speed limit: 60 KPH occasionally seasoned with a school zone of 40KPH
Why don't they just call it a lane or a trail...
