Ok so i am on the wagon 6 days now and sitting down having a couple of beers, have stayed away from the beers as its too tempting to light up.But the aldi satiagos were calling me saying we miss you.So far so good.My plan is to stay of them until PI then have a go for a 3 days then get off them.It must be something about track days as i go ok then track days and just cant resist. It is made a little harder as Kazz is still smoking but so far am dealing with that ;)

Just remember mate it's 90% psychological. The actual physical withdrawal symptoms are mild. Look at alcohol - people can die, Heroin, die... Smokes? Who's died of nicotine withdrawals? Nobody. Because the physical symptoms are WEAK (I'm not saying the psychological symptoms aren't strong, but just remember, it's only psychological). Hang in there.

Its the nicotine that people get addicted to. And once you have been a regular smoker - you will *never* lose the addicition to nicotine. You can stay off the smokes though with willpower, and it doesn't take a lot to stay off them - but the addiction is there for life.

You make valid points, but the mind is a complex thing. Something rational doesn’t make it 'feel' any less real. You can die from psychological/mental health issues.

I do agree tho, mind over matter can defeat the odds, along with plenty of support.

Leave it alone Steve. If you want to discuss this do it in a PM because you are about to bite off something you will choke on.
