I will never be able to understand how cruising on an open piece of highway at 15km/h over some ill-chosen speed limit is demonised on the premise that it may contribute to the seriousness of an accident you may be involved in if something happens that may put you in a situation you may not be able to avoid.......... when actually being the person to cause an accident is virtually a non-issue.
15km/h over in a safe manner: 3 points, $180 fine
Fail to give way, causing an accident: 3 points, $180
And actually killing someone? That's definitely no worse than going 40km/h over...
Remember people, speeding makes Baby Jesus cry.

What I love about out justice system... including the ombudsman..
He gets charged $750.. and the government takes it.. thanks for coming...
not a $10,000 fine with that money going to the victim's family plus having to pay costs.
But if you stole a few thousand from a bank you'd get bent over and drilled like there's no tommorrow.. prob face fines, etc.
Just because money is the back bone of society, etc *coughs* bullshit *coughs* someones life comes a distant.. very distant 2nd..
