Nickname and how you came about it?

In the late nineties I had a band called StereoHead........ we played some gigs and stuff, but broke up because the guitarist had an attitude problem.... Since then I have continued to play music and stuff (You can listen to it here http://www.myspace.com/leftpointcrunch )... Although the "project" is now called "Left Point Crunch"... I have always ment to re-start my band with the origional name, but since then an english band called StereoHead got a record deal, so It will never be...

Anyways, because I am still an active muso, I joined a web forum for musos (http://www.melband.com.au) and my nickname was StereoHead....

I have taken the "head" off on this forum because Its weird having people call you "stereohead" in real life.... Whereas "Stereo" is kinda cool....

So just call me stereo....

P.s. I dont really need a nickname because my real name sounds like a nickname anyway... but hey.... if everyone else gets one.... I should too!

red_dave which came about cause there were 3 dave's at Uni. Big Dave, Little Dave and because i was in the middle and hated the "Middle Dave/Medium Dave names, they came up with red_dave cause of my flowing aubrun locks...

My other nickname is Raw which came about after many drinks at Clifford Park Horse races in Toowoomba followed by a nude streak across North Toowoomba bowls club...

Everyone at work calls me Simmo though. But that was already taken! They used to call me Rowdy because they thought I was quiet. Then they realised their mistake

A bloke i used to work with gave everyone a nickname.
my real name's vince so diesel stuck as in vin diesel.

but i like to think it's cos i'm as strong as a diesel train.

It's because i used the term green when i chatted her up,used the wrong term to explain i'm new to life in japan then, it's just a nick she gave me Neka san.

Kinda difficult to speak their tongue then and i was just learning
