What gives? The Real YODA not only talked the talk, but could also walk the walk. A false word, say he never did.

So can you be an engineering intellectual or not?
It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even if chequered with failure, than to take rank with those who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, as they live in grey twilight that knows no victory nor defeat.

getting back to the original question

the simplest answer is..............they're made strong to stand the abuse at about 14k revs not a poncy 1k tickover..............give it some welly boy and you don't hear the clunk over the growl of the induction,

 those guys i think get a bit esoteric, gidday volfan welcome to the site i'm also a zzr600 rider ('93 model about 39000km/24500miles) mine clunks but is all good, my mechanic and Kwaka Guru Darcy put me on to Motorex oil and that has reduced the noise significantly. But all in all they are not as smooth or as quiet as my bro's R6 or my other bro's cbr954
