I think if this is the case then we should do a bit of the same. Cameras on bikes are becoming more popular and easier to mount. Could you imagine doing this to cop then showing THEM the camera after the fact
we have the same thing going on down here in tweed heads..
Grey XR8 with orange stripes, and they are complete bullying cunts and did something totally dangerous today which i had to brake stupidly hard to avoid..
so i was following the copper and i knew it was him anyways, going about 50 cause it was a 50 zone, following at an acceptable distance then all of a sudden (nothing went the other way to warrant this) he SLAMS on his brakes, cuts off the guy in the left lane cause he half turns into it .. doesnt indicate (this is all at a green light through an intersection) proceeds to do a U turn and i had to brake pretty fucking hard to maintain my safe distance and i thought it was just a fucking stupid thing to do... (keeping in mind he turned swerved left then u turned right :S ) can i make a complaint or anything ? ? cause thats fucked up, also had a highway patrol car sit just about on my rear tyre before in a 50 zone trying to get me to speed .. he gave up and did a u turn about 300 metres later, i was so fucking pissed about it.
same guy tried to race me off the lights when i was in my stock 99 au falcon, just cause i have P plates on the car, he was just going about 20 km/h trying to bait me into going flying past him .. but i just sat next to him and he got the shits and sped off hahaha wanker.
imo the majority (not all i guess) undercover / highway patrol / bike cops are thugs and all they wanna do is ticket u and crap on about how they are doing u a favour and making the roads safer when we all know its lies.
next time u get a ticket ask him how his quota is going today....

Good mate o'mine is a Vic copper in armed rob - he offers the view that every organisation has a department which attracts d**kheads and no hopers and for policing it is highway patrol/traffic.

Just because someone sitting next to you at the lights is revving their engine, doesn't mean you have to drag race the said vehicle.
If you want to drag race every cock-knuckle that revs their engine at the lights, well, so be it. Not sure what there is to prove.
I agree that you don't have to race just coz someone revs their engine, but the point is that when the police rev their engine they are using a form of entrapment. The requirement for them to use this method means they have "reasonable ground for suspecting that the accused would commit the offence". How can an officer decide this just because it is a bike? But if he does, how can the biker prove the police used the entrapment method?
Jase, I'm not condoning street drags. Many people get hurt playing this pointless game; I just like to see those who uphold the law actually stay within it themselves. You know I don't drag off the lights - I got 17000k out of my last rear tyre
Mike what it comes down to is the police minister has decided there is a unacceptable amount of road carnage per yer so he goes down the chain of command where it is decided that they will annoy riders of motorbikes till they leave there bikes in the garage.
Of course if they want to step up things a bit they use the anti hooning squad with unmarked cars/utes/stationwagons and behave like storm troopers.....and we know they read this stuff and have a good chuckle.
No such thing as entrapment in Qld and they wont realese the statistics in full just quote the bits they want you to hear.
Anyways it all requires a bit of lobbying on our part to get a real outcome for riders the coppers are just doing their job....trouble is they look at my bike and there eyes seem to bulge out of their sockets and they start to sweat a bit and look around....might be my fault for following directions.
If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
