well, now I know thats one bike I'm not buying... why you ask... let me shed some light on the subject...
The bike is very smooth, VERY smooth compared to the 04/05. The handling is definatly better, the bike is much easier to flick. The suspension was set very soft on the demo bike I rode, but that can be easily adjusted so I didnt give it too much thought.
However, being realistic, the fact is that I'll spend most of my time with the bike on the road, not track. The bike felt boring in comparison. It felt really dead down low (esp. with a pillion!!), didnt really push that hard still 6-7 thou rpm. Got going but never really scary, which is a good thing I suppose, but its lost that fun factor. Top end was very tame, making it very ridable. Its amazing how good the box is, so smooth without the clunk of the old box.
Throttle was the best feature, its was smooth, didnt make the bike jump with every little twist, was very user friendly. And the bike didnt feel light at the front even under hard acceleration.
Its a great bike, dont get me wrong. I just cant justify upgrading to it over my 04. The bike just didnt impress me enough. I'm sure on a track it would be different, but for my communting purposes... Also, even on the track, I'm not a EC 1'40 guy. I run 1'47" so its not like at the occaional track day i'll need a update the bike.
Guess I'll wait till the next upgrade... Now to fix my bike...

That's a bit sad to hear mate, although makes me happy re my 05 model. There's nothing like a bike with personality.
Anyway now you'll be able to "individualise" your current bike and that can't be a bad thing.
How much you gotta do to fix it?

Sounds like it needs a TRE to fix it.
They have to make them rideable for the masses as well if they dont the only people that will buy them are proper nutjobs
.
Probably only needs a small amount of adjustment to turn it back into a mad beast just they have to make it so they can convert a few honda riders as well.

If I rode my bike at the speed of light, what would happen when I switched on its headlights?
