absolutely !! thats a 25% reduction in amp-hour capacity right from the word go.....I think once you get the correctly-rated battery fitted, your problems *should* dissappear.........

Good luck :D

if the voltage DOESNT increase id say theres a good chance the stator isnt charging...if the charge is too high ussually means the voltage reg is fukd....then again the reg could b filtering out too much charge....

New battery installed today...what a bloody pain in the arse to fit!!!! it was heaps bigger than the old one (physical size...and amperage). The old one was so small they had to put in a giant rubber spacer so it didnt rock about in the battery compartment. Took that out and fitted like it was always meant to be there....however, the negative terminal was a bitch to get on....lead was only *just* (with some gentle encouragement) long enough. Took it for a strap...no miss!!!!! Hell yeah!!! No loss in ignition when throttle is part on but close to off....bloody excellent!!! I am stoked...now to defeat this cold and let my bruises heal from the push start ordeal :)

Battery in my ZZR is smaller than rated capacity- only by an Amphour or two- works well buit keeps going flat coz I don't ride it anymore....
Pity about that. BTW my Virago can sit for months and the battery still works...not so the ZZR, even with the original battery. :x
