I just went to that http://www.kawiforums.com/ They are yanks? I've been a member of yank forums, you eventually realize that there are only two types of people in the world. Americans, and all the ones not privileged to be born there :? Perhaps riders transcend that... perhaps? But they don't even have a section for the ZZR11!
Useless :x

Tryed to use our link as a test and this message came up;

"The text the poster has entered is on our banned keyword list and has been removed from view.
Items in our ban list are web site links and emails that have either violated our commercial posting policy or have been involved in distributing copyrighted material using the forum."

So did someone violate them without inviting the rest of us?

Did someone cut 'n' paste from there whooaa thats a serious crime

Don't worry Jonno, as I said, I don't have a problem with it.
Although you could have been a bit more open, as we do know what goes on..:-)
I just put it up for comment based on what Kawi forums did and can that be justified.
I'd like to think any Aus Kawi forums would cross promote each other as it would serve us all. (unless of course its exactly the same context, theres not enough ppl for say multiple zx12 or similar sites).
Theres 3 I know of
KSRC
Kawi Naked bikes
ozzx12
Dave

If you know whats going on then I was open enough. :P

Looks like KSRC is not the only forum link banned, http://www.zx-12r.org is also banned. Probably every other forum is banned too I imagine. :?

Doh! No wonder I wasn't poached

Don't worry there not poaching... but you still don't have the right bike to be poached anyway.... :-)

I believe it should all be out there, and then the wheat will be separated from the chaff, the cream will rise to the top, you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear and a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush...
I have no idea where I was going with that, I'm getting senile..

You missed "seperate the fly shit from the pepper"

I think your right though, keep it open. The whole concept of competetition for members between forum's is a bit whacked I reckon. I think the number of regular people who stick around here speaks for itself and the fact that we virtually never have stupid little shit fights and hissy fits that pop up on other places. If the other sites are paranoid that's their problem.

I think each forum has it's own community and it's up to us to find a community we want to be a part of...

I'm a KSRC man, but have a look at other sites occasionally (albeit anonymously)...

We got a good product here and if people start to stray, it will only be a matter of time before they miss this place and decide to come back...

On one hand, I can understand not wanting other forums advertised on your forum that you spend your time and money on. It could be considered a bit of a slap in the face if you took the whole message board thing way too personally. Kinda like sitting at a party, drinking the host's beer, and saying, "Yanno, we really should head down the road - Joe Blow's parties are the best around and they always rock" and wandering off in that direction, while still carrying on the original conversation, trying to drag those in the conversation with you.

On the other hand - if your party is a really great party, most people will say "See ya 'round, I'm gunna stay here" or may walk down with you, say hi to people at the new party, but then return to the party they've always liked.

So I vote 'petty and insecure' on kawiforum's part. They are trying to control something that isn't controllable. People will go where they like and you can't hang onto them by controlling stuff - you can only hang onto them by making your place the best damn party in town.

And I vote 'throws a good party' on ksrc's part - we have new people signing up and retain old members pretty well (even after some of the ungrateful bastards start bringing Honda beer to the party!)
