I'm not too sure, could be anything between 40-100km/h, I don't look at my speed when I take a corner or lean over. 8)

May be a good excuse to save up for a braking & cornering course?
You could be right about the tyre bit. My money has always been ready for a course, but they closed down Darlington Park! :x

I am surprised at the road rash on the elbow/arm!
I don't think it's the vibration, I've got used to that already.
The abrasion on the elbow/arm is caused by the inside of the jacket.
I just took out the bandages to air the wound, had to cover them as I walked alot around the office. Realised that the abrasions on my knees were also caused by the inside of the jeans. Although the pics look like it's a big wound but it's actually very very superficial, hardly any blood. That wouldn't be possible if the knee was in direct contact with the tarmac.

Thank u guys(& gals) for the concerns, but do remember that I shall be the only one...

red_dave: I think I shall call that intersection 'The RG intersection' ?

Its ok. They don't taste like FISH!

Sorry to hear about this, but yes it could have been the rain, there was a lot, although the road does look dry in the pics?

Crikey RG, not a good start to the year, looks like you and the bike will heal up soon.

It seems like you cant get rid of that bike, like when the car knocked it over and now this.

Hopefully it doesn't knock your confidence around too much but it is sure strange why it let go on you :?

What a bugger RG! I am glad to see that you seem ok, and the wounds to you are only superficial and to the bike, cosmetic. Look after yourself!
Cheers,
Anne
