ha ha Jase! good one... i like the "dump pipe" in the bottom one that is warming up the rear wheel?! good stuff!!

You know.... it's actually growing on me! Yeah it's a BIG ASS, but damn, it is a "THOU".. shouldn't be all nice and tidy and small.... it's a BEAST!!! Beasts should be big bad Mo-Fo's!! (no not MoJo's!) anyway, i'm starting to come around to it.... might be from reading the "soup-ups" on last years model though, as I am one for performance over looks as well (Diesel  )....... but yup, gotta wait until it is in the FLESH to make the final call..... 8)

Thats just a peformance enhanced pic  the real deal is all over every mag website around. The real pics have the bikes being used and even the tyres are balled up.

Back is crap... they've taken the "angry" look even further, I think anyway. The front has some real character about it, I'd even say personification , esspecially with those lights.
But then the rear is soo freekin crowded with the pipes, ruins everything.
Needs more empty space over the wheel to make it look more front-orientated and mean, like kwaka have obviously tried to do.

mrmina's pick looks sweeeeet.

Ps - What is the law on low exit pipes?
ZXR"900" - In pieces... again.
Another engine gone but at least the purple and pink are still there, oh yeah.

Not sure about low exit, but with cars you used to get done for having an exhaust that exits in front of the rear wheel. This I know from experience with a 307 HT Monaro with the big pipes hanging out the side (twas an early eighties thing). I think with the cars it has to do with exhaust fumes entering the vehicle though.

Can't see any logical reason to ban it on a bike unless a flaming backfire ignites your Alpine Stars.

As an aside, on the way to work along Woodville Road I often see a bloke on a silver/blue heavily customised R1 with Vic plates on it. The thing has two pipes each side exiting just behind the pegs. Looks OK but there is absolutely no muffler so the thing is so bloody loud it's ridiculous.

That's just plain nasty, I was really hoping those shots last week were fake :(

It's not just the massive cans either as they've had to make the hole tail-section bigger to accommodate them....the arse of the GSXR 05 is how it should be done :!:

What the hell happened to the belly-pan exhaust :?: They obviously couldn't squeeze one in :(

I saw this picture of the new 650 ninja....

and I was wondering what the designer was thinking of! The back tire looks so tiny!

Love the exhaust though....

Hmmmm.............. I'm in love.

I can't help remembering the bagging that we all gave the last two 6's and the last 10 when they first came out.
Something to do with people not liking change I suppose.

You'll come round :D

Give it an aftermarket pipe, tinted screan etc.......
.....and 185bhp..

It'll grow on us.

I'll admit it does look best in black, but I'll also say I loved the look of the '04/'05 when it first came out, and thought it looked even better in the flesh.

A lot of how good a bike looks depends on what aspects of it remind you of. To me the headlights look too small and "piggy", the ram air intake looks to big and rounded and the overall appearance of the front is too bulky and rounded.

The rear doesn't remind me of anything, but simply looks too cluttered. There's no hugger anymore, which is a big loss cause it does actually keep a lot of shit of the shock and swingarm, and there's no room for an aftermarket one.

The underslung "bracing" on the swingarm is too much like the R1 and like the dissappearance of the hugger I would say is a concession to the pipes. It also makes putting it up a race stand tricky unless you've got pickup knobs fitted.

The panel under the seat and rear of the tank now has a gloss coat so will get scratched to buggery by your legs.

The pipes just make it look way too bulky at the rear and akra are going to have to do some serious work to make a system that will fit in with it. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I don't think I'll ever say that I love it

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. Some kind of high powered mutant never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

the black looks pretty awesome hey...
sure the zorst looks pretty dodgy, cept just about everyone puts on an aftermarket jobby anyway. and maybe kwakka will bring out the race pack thing again
and the integrated rear turn signals are pretty cool also!
but i was really hoping they would bring out the 06 in pearl magma red and under seat like my 636 :(
oh well, guess it means it gives me another yr or two to save up for the thou...
also, reakon there will be much change to the 06 636???
