Crashed my ZX9 it was insured with an agreed value of $6K repair quote came to $4K so I offered to contribute $2K in a vain attempt to stop them writing it off. After nil negotiating from these ppl and no common sense shown I rang them and cancelled the insurance and voided the claim. Now I got a worse for wear '95 Zx9 to repair out of my pocket. Shifty. Excellent contribution to this forum. Perhaps you can shed some light on an issue I have with Insurance, one I believe is very important.
Since you make the point above perhaps you can explain to me why it is impossible to view (in any form) a copy of the policy. I am not talking about the small booklet now called (presumably for legal reasons) a Product Disclosure Statement.
I called my insurer and asked to have a copy of the policy sent to me, or at the very least an online resource where I could view that policy. The repsonse was less than comforting. Apparently the policy does not exist, I can't be sent a copy because of its sheer size (clearly, not the PDS).
With that in mind, how can I possibly be expected to follow a policy to the letter if, even after a direct request, the policy cannot be provided.
I honestly believe its the fine details in the policy which are the most important.
So what's the story?
PS.
Despite my gripes with insurance I also believe it is a necessary evil. I have always had it, and I expect I always will.
The Doc says my blood is green. Thankfully, there is nothing he can do to help
