So Justin Liz & Dave what times you guys doing?.... I just rattled off 54 minuites for the 8 K's & backed it up with a 5K cool down ride to stretch the legs, the training is going well & I am sure I could go Mid 40's without the hills but the event is not flat so gunna have to push for better times.
Oh & it makes a huge difference not running after dinner :vom:

Dam dude that is good, did you run the whole way? when we did 8km the other night, I did it in 1hr 5min Jay did it in 1hr 10min, we walked and ran, Jay's shins were playing up a bit so that was why his time was a bit slower, we are going again Thursday night and hopefully Saturday morning. It was pretty cool, I was only very slightly sore on the muscle just above my knees which is the ones that don't switch on when I am not exercising, so waking them up was awesome and I strapped my knees which was even better, hopefully I can get my knee braces by the run, because it is going to make a huge difference. I think you and Dave will have much better times than us, but if I loose the 5kg before now and then and it's kick started our exercise regime again which is awesome so I we are stoked. When we get back from our runs we do a whole stack of stretching so that does help and I usually do my crunches then to. Oh and Robstar man yeah no running straight after dinner, massive cramps that way.

I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.

If you organise it, they will come. I'm not a runner, but would totally do a pub walk for MS fundraising
Would love to but will be occupied elsewhere that weekend. The Mrs may be keen to do one of the walks if there is anyone else keen on that?
I was thinking seriously about this, but the walk is in a totally different location to the run. I think I'll give it a miss (unless there's a bunch of people who decide to do it), as I was interested in doing it with everyone, not as a separate thing

+1 for me also, I would do the pub crawl with a group....... I checked out the route and from memory, (20 years ago) I think we would pass one pub behind Wynyard, a few around the rocks area and one opposite Circular Quay....mmmmmm

I'm doing a bit under 6 mins per km but have only done 7km's so far - I'll probably do 8 one day next week just for practice, but I'm pretty confident I can do it.
