Good onya mate! A lovely riding old classic those XJ's are! Knowing you, I guess it will be up and running reasonably quickly!!

You can both bite my shiny arse !!!!

Yes, I am fairly motivated for this gig, so it should be up and running by Xmas. Unbelievers will have their genitals devoured by Satan !!
The idea of a quad-cam Toyota motor is something that never crossed my mind

- it may have some merit......the only downside is the probably lack of info out there about a conversion such as this. I received an email today from the bloke who runs Jaguar Specialities in the US - talk about friendly and comprehensive !!! They leave *no* stone unturned with the kits they sell. Nothing at all. This appeals to me greatly, as it really does almost mean a plug'n'play conversion.
Rob - cheers for the tips about the early-model LS1's mate

- I have seen some veiled references to oil problems with these motors on the LS1 forum, but have not really started pushing hard there for facts and figures. At this stage, getting the conversion kit (with all the suspension and steering upgrades included) is the #1 priority, as all this is a lot easier to fit up without an engine in the way. I can take a bit more time to make a good selection on the donor motor......and not just buy the first thing thats listed on ebay.....(although its pretty tempting...

)
In the words of Big Kev.......I'm fuckin' EXCITED !!!
