Just took Eddie out for a blat. Bum dyno says much better down low, far better idle, but harder to wheelie...(?) 0 to 120km/h considerably faster. More like my ZZR1100/1200 in that respect and maybe even faster than them in that speed range. I guess with the power being more linear, wheelies might be harder. Previously just leaving lights it would stand up with the slightest provocation. Not now. I have to be rough with the throttle for it to stand up.

I don't reckon it's quite right. Heavy on fuel- 14km/L on a highway trip.(done 200 odd km since yesterday) Power up top isn't right. Lower than it used to be. Need the wheelies back! Low down and mid range response is much better though. Gonna put it on the dyno next week. :(

It's the only way to get the A/F mixture correct!

Yep, one of the benefits of the recent dyno day. My ZRX has been on two dyno's this year with both saying it was pretty much spot on. :D

I'd *REALLY* like to get the jetting closer before hitting the dyno though. Gotta do some research. Outside my area of expertise. (most things are.... )
Electronics is one of my hobbies so am considering making an air-fuel meter. Wonder how effective that would be?

Got my wheelies back. Rejetted today to one main jet size bigger than stock. As it was with the jet kit the jetting that AMCN used was three jet sizes up from stock. Turned mixture screws to 2.5 turns too to help with economy. Dyno next week will see how close I got it. Bum dyno says it's good. :D

G'day Blokes,

I bought a Dynajet Stage 1-3 jet kit modified my air box to buggery, K&N filter, fitted a MUZZY Ti Can and then a Ted's ignition advancer. I only ever run BP Ultimate.
Ran on Pro Kawasaki's Ipswich dyno got 107.2 rwhp.
Changed Exhaust system to full Ti Arata system went back to Pro Kawasaki and re ran got 127.2 rwhp.
I am not sure about the figures as they read all over the shop to me. Has bike pulling 12610rpm!!!! That can not be correct as the bike has a 10000 limiter. I think a lot of these dyno people give bullshit figures to people. (Black Magic).
I know the exhaust made the biggest difference. Seat of pants tells me that it will lift the front end under acceleration easily in first or second gear never did this with carby kit. All ZRX sites state exhaust is biggest restriction. And nobody except AMCN got 20hp out of jetting.
Oh yeah my bike AFR was running really fat (rich) both runs first run best was 11:1 second run was 12.1:1 should be closer to 13.5:1.
If anyone knows a good accurate dyno tuner in Brisbane area I would like to hear from you.
Next part of my project is to fit the ZZR1200 top end. I know the head won't fit without frame mods but higher comp pistons, better cams, dual valve springs should pick things up a bit more!

Nah, I think they are only continuing it in Japan would be closer to the mark.

Cowl looks more GPZ inspiried than ZRX. Love the Headlight - wonder if it fill straight onto mine ?

The wheels look superb as well.
;)
