hahahahaha - thinking about that still cracks me up!

I agree with most of what's been posted already.

I hate pink. I hate pastel colours. I hate leathers that don't have the functionality you expect - why on earth would someone buy a full set of expensive leathers, only to discover it has no back armour (or space for back armour), no velcro patches for knee-sliders... etc. It's almost as if they expect the person to only wear it while perched on the pillion seat at a coffee shop, not actually riding in it!

Booby room is a another big issue. When I first started riding, I just had to suck it up and wear men's gear - and to get enough room in one area, it was too big in other areas (i,e for a jacket to fit over boobs and hips, I ended up with copious amounts of spare material hanging off my shoulders, around my waist and below my bum). I eventually found an Ixon jacket that was shaped well and was happy in riding gear at last! Then I went looking for leathers, and ended up getting a set custom made because I just couldn't justify spending so much money on something that fit so badly - I'd rather pay a bit more and have something that fits really well. I have noticed that there seems to be a lot more options in women's leathers now than even one year ago though, so that's good news.

Basically, for too long women's bike gear seemed to be men's gear with some adjustments. That doesn't work - they need to be designed for women from the beginning. With breasts and hips in mind, particularly in the larger sizes.

Now if only they could design a helmet that doesn't give you helmet hair... :P

Hmmm think i share some of the common problems, but have some different ones as well. The lower panel on the back of the jacket rang all too true.

Unfortunately (fortunately) i am reasonably tall for a girl (5'11") with a size 12 foot which rules me out of most of the "girls" clothing. I did end up getting some shift stuff recently which i was really happy with, but it seems like a lot of the places out there dont make clothing to suit my shape (ie. some manufacturers believe girls clothing is a shortened version of mens clothing for most of them). More casual styled jackets seem to fit ok though. :kuda:

With persistance i have been able to find most items i live, but miss out on a lot of the "girly" items as they simply dont come in my size  (especially gloves and boots). The one item i am still really struggling to find is a set of leather pants. I've given up on the idea of an attachable 2 piece suit (my alpinestars jacket comes down to about my belly button on a good day  ) but a decent set that i could wear under my shift leather jacket would be nice anyway..

In saying that i guess i'm a pretty fringe case scenario so i dont know if i could be used as a voice to the masses

I would like to see more length in jackets. Each and every women's jacket I have tried on and worn is too short in the back, once I lean forward on the bike. I have a fairly large bust and a long torso, so the jackets ride up in the back, which makes things somewhat chilly in Winter!
Cheers,
Anne

Moguai if you stick a location in your profile i'm sure there are members that could point you in the right direction for leather pants that would fit...

Sorry about that. Updated the location. Based around Sydney, NSW. Also updated the bike as the 125 is now gone.

If anyone knows anywhere that would be great... i'm used to going into shops, then finding something i like which i can buy in a range of sizes.... ranging from 4 - 8 :(. Even if i could get into such sizes (which i definitely cannot) they would all work out to be about 3/4 pants in length.

unisex gear is also shite. i bought a jacket and the shoulders are still huge and the arms are ridiculously long and i'm 5'9 so i'm not short, infact the only part of the jacket that fits well is the waist.
