when i got my bike, i found a pair of M2R Brutes, they look and feel like steel toed boots, but instead of steel, they are kevlar re inforced and hardened.
I got them because they look like work boots, and i find them to be acceptable even at my current work in IT. they dont go righ tup to your shins, but they do cover your ankles, and they have a gear interface on the top of both(not sure why?) boots.
they seem to be water resistant enough (riding in canberra can get very wet, especially lately). but then my rain pants do cover down to below the strap.

My brother had a cement truck roll over his foot. If he'd not been a dim-wit and wore his steel cpas, he would have lost all his toes.dave#3 wrote:I'm always nervous about wearing steel capped boots when riding.
