I've used the Pro-Grip - did the job, but the one I had had a black rim which was annoying.
I've used the Pro-Grip photocromatic - only changed in direct sunlight, so glare was still a problem and I needed sunnies
I've used the Fog-City - it was very fumey - ie it stank.
Spit doesn't work.

I don't have anything on my current visor - I crack it open a notch when not on the freeway, even in the rain.
If fogging becomes a problem I just start blowing air down out of the helmet rather than breathing out as normal.

Interesting article on the object of your discussion here

http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle- ... rogrip.htm

Comparison between ProGrip and FogCity visor inserts, and also discusses the photochromatic properties of each as well.

I used to use a product like Rain-X, but for the inside, not the outside - I think it was called Fog-Off or something like that........

Most new lids these days have effective venting around the mouthpiece/chinpiece area, that will stop any fogging - I know my old Shoei does, and it works *just fine* for normal riding. In the rain, it needs to be opened the first half-notch, thats it.
