Thanks for your kind words everybody, Bluey and I are very happy so far.

With a mere 225k on the clock, here are my initial impressions...

Comfort is not an issue. The seat is wide enough and padded enough so as not to give numb bum syndrome. The bars are lower than I'm used to, but my back is feeling fine. The pegs are higher than I'm used to, but even with a bruised thigh has caused no issue. 40mins in the seat on freeway and town was no problem in either direction. Lane splitting it good and controlable at slow speed.

Grip from the Dunlop Qualifiers has been fine so far, but I haven't exactly put them to the test yet.

The suspension is firmer than I'm used to, as the CBR was getting a little saggy in it's old age. Ride is still very smooth, and really enjoyable.

As I'm still running in I haven't had a chance to explore the power yet, but it seems to come in early and hard. Getting back on the six was a bit of "OK where's the power gone'.

The exhaust is not very noticable even on warm days like today. I did notice a small amount of heat in my right foot, but not enough to be uncomfortable. Nothing noticed through the seat, but I think that would be different for a pillion. I also don't think it is very load, but it has a great deep rumble.

Fuel econemy seems OK, but having only done 3/4 of a tank, it's a bit early to tell. The fuel light came on at 200k and took 11.5L to fill. From a 17L tank I think this is a little early, but is only slightly more than the cbr would have used for the same distance. For comparison, I'm used to the fuel light coming on with 3L left in the tank, not 5.

The 10 also turns a lot of heads, and draws attention to itself every where it goes. A lot of fun for me :)

Oh, and I'm getting pissed off with changing gear at 4,000rpm and can't wait for the next 600k to pass to I can open up to 6,000 !

Finally hit the magic 1500Km, three weeks of ownership and I'm happy as a pig in poo.

I went for the go hard for the first 40km and then back off to let everything else bed in running in method. Chicken strips are best part of completely gone, and I've exceeded average speeds the CBR managed on most of my favourite corners  Tyre wear sems OK so far, and grip levels are amazing compared to the hard compounds I ran on the Hon, hon thingy. Can't wait to try the M3s, but can wait to pay for em!

There seem to be some extra toys attached to the dash - the lap timer hasn't been use yet, but it's there and works. And today I found a new one. It has this little shift light that glows when your attain 11,000RPM. Just so happens I was still in 1st, and quickly changed into 2nd with a speedo reading a little over $1.60. I was on a closed course circuit, and had slowed to $1.00 by the time I passed the main straight speed trap

Have you found the sky hook swith yet Mike? It works when you flick that lever on the left while twisting the tube on the right
and with a 10 no need for the lever...
Just because you CAN ride, doesn't mean you SHOULD

No need for the lever on the left, and seems to work 1st through to 3rd. Managed it this morning while still cranked over in 1st, and the back didn't follow the line I was expecting either - I grinned for quite some time

Just added another bit of bling. I probably won't add much more, it just doesn't need it. Haven't felt the need for power commander or K&N kits yet - there seems to be enough power.
