thats Gold ! bet it caught the doctor by surprise !!
He was quite subdued thereafter - the nurses burst out laughing - he probably has a go at all riders who come through his emergency rooms...I wouldn't let them cut my pants off either unless they were willing to pay for a replacement pair...I still hold firm to the belief it would have hurt more if they'd cut them..

I'm one who gears up everytime... draggins for around town or if its stinking hot... otherwise leathers... textile jacket...
Except for tonight. Tonight I rode in jeans (still with jacket, boots, gloves...
had a date and wanted to look nice
) I don't think I'd do it again... I felt naked! and the heat coming off the bike wasn't very nice either... don't know how people could ride in shorts!

Well my road gear really needs updating, ATM I just have either a Brando jacket or Dri Rider jacket that is like 4 sizes too big, and cheapo armoured Dri Rider leather gloves. I won't get on the bike without these, and regular jeans, covered shoes and of course full face noggin cover.
I agree with Mel, the worst part is the jeans. You can just feel that your knees are very vulnerable. I really want to get a 2 piece leather getup for the street, but then I guess I will still be using normal jeans to get to work and stuff.
For a fang through the hills I will wear my one piece race leathers.

What annoys me more are the bikers like the guy I saw on Saturday going past my place where he is fully geared up with all the protective gear but he has his missus on the back in a singlet and shorts!

yeah, that really bugs me too!
fair enough if you are silly enough to ride with no gear... but kids don't deserve to pay the price of adult stupidity.

The adults wouldnt be wearing anything either..they're invincible and its never going to happen to them, especially as they are being so careful with the kids on...sure!! Nope, leather jacket, draggins, gloves and boots. Its alright when you're moving anyway. Just have to peel them off fast when you stop!!

I've seen plenty of times the adults geared up... and the kids with no gear...
Sure kids gear is pretty hard to find... but it IS out there if you look hard enough.

saw one the other day with a kid on the back in shorts and T-shirt sitting astride the slab of beer strapped to the back of the bike...it's ok to be stupid but please don't breed or we'll never break the cycle...
