i would be keen to see a superstocker get a little push from KSRC....the class has more to do with rider ability than how much money you can throw at the bike to go faster.

the money we provide could actually help s/stock riders a bit, i.e this class is only allowed 1 set of tyres per meeting for qualifying & racing @ $409 per set, times by 6 meetings per year (total tyre cost: $2454 per year) and if 40 KSRC members put in, its about $62 per person.

if 50 members go in, its only $50 :D based on current rules/prices

then again, even if we went halfway, its still way better than nothing at all...KSRC could nominate to sponsor for the 3 rounds we have the most members attending (i assume thats the mainland east coast)..... just thinking out aloud guys - not that i would want to leave the other states out....

what it does is eliminate that tyre cost from the riders budget, its also the one thing that doesn't change. they always need a new set at each round, & they are only allowed one set of tyres at the meet.

IMO... being able to cover tyre costs would be a great load off a riders mind, and good way to put the finances we donate to use

lets remember guys, whoever we sponsor is PROBABLY gunna race anyway, regardless, and ANYTHING we help with will help....we dont have to buy him a bike, but what help is $300-400 a race?? ...its a bloody big help if the blokes a privateer...

Strechy raced in the National Superstock round up here at QR and got a good 10/15 seconds of air time on Speedweek. they followed him thru T1,T2 and all the way down the back straight into T3 and off into the kitty litter :D Not a KSRC logo in site.

Personally I would go with someone like Wanye Maxwell. he has good results, rides hard and gets good TV air time, don't know how much dosh he has behind him or if we could get a decent sized sticker on the bike, but there doesn't seem to be too many other options. I have rarely seen other Kawkas even on the grid (esp 600cc) other than KTA.

BTW I got $20 burning a hole in my pocket!

I will put my hand up first, apart from the monthly donation that we may make I am going to give 10% of sales from the party on the 4th at my place to kick start this :D It may not be that much but then again we never know. It's a start  I know Kris from Race Rep is happy to donate a few things how about we action them off in KSRC as well every couple of months :?: Even if someone else can ask there local dealer :D Would have to be things that we can post of course :) Just ideas :?

Even if the guys doing the ride on Sunday from VIC do the gold coin donation too :? Every bit helps

im behind this too, s/stock & the ideas of tyres seems a good idea, about $50/head would be fair i guess, if the 42 that voted got behind it thats at least 2100/yr, which is a help onthe cost of rubber.
