Re: I wanna 10!
Well Kirsty, you've said you want one of the fastest bikes on the planet
You've said it's *cool* the bike wheelspins etc
You also don't have much riding experience
lots of people have said they don't think it's a good idea and you risk yourself harm
So you're not listening to the sensible posts why should I waste my time and make one??

Opinions have been provided - Kirsty will do what she wants.
Can't we give it a rest now?

If you have no fear, you're not going fast enough.
Never argue with an idiot. He'll drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

Ah glad to see you've realised that the ZX10R is based on the 800cc ZX-RR, and that you are comparing those 2 bikes and stating your skill level is comparable to a Pro GP riderKristy wrote:Hey guys, after watching the performance of the Kawasakis at the GP I've decided to forget the 10...think I'll get a Fireblade!

Please, get a Honda. Then feel free to spatter your story on their boards, and see if you don't get the same response.
At least it wont be as fast as a 10.

Mhm. I, for one, can think of at least two off the top of my head...Kristy wrote:Yeah, unfortunately I'm starting to think that there are a couple of people on this forum who truly do just like the sound of their own voice, or... um...the sight of their own text??..
My apologies for not telling you what you wanted to hear, and for taking issue with your boyfriend's lack of clue when it comes to bikes. It has disappointed me greatly.
So, these forums don't get know-nothing n00bs with chips on their shoulders bringing an attitude when they misinterpret the responses they receive? These forums NEVER contain shit slinging, just genuine people trying to help.

Believe me I-K, none of the chips you have tried so hard to impose, have stuck to my shoulders. You have simply provided me with some very entertaining reading! So, these forums don't get know-nothing n00bs with chips on their shoulders bringing an attitude when they misinterpret the responses they receive?

Re: I wanna 10!
This thread is funny...sort of.
All I can say is that if you go from a ZX2 to a 10, and the statistically based insurance doesn't give you the hint, then nothing will. Modern 600's are faster in everyway than 5-10 year old litre bikes. My 650 will go the other side of 200 (not that I'd know) and gets to 150 so quick I feel like I should leave the money on the bedside table
Do what you want, and makes you feel good, but think about how much of what you are doing is peer pressure/n00bliness, and how much is "clear critical and logical thinking". Or just buy the 10 anyway...

Seen too many of these threads over the last few years...read first posts a week or two ago...then page 8...
All the rest will have to wait for a day which doesn't end in "y" for me to read it
