There is a stuff called Plastex, costs about $30 and fixes cracks great - not too much work and even a clot like me can use it (and I can't even put tiles up straight).

Fairing crack is similar to a rust whole on a car wing. It may not be structural, but it's a sharp edge - and that's dangerous
