Java,
What a great thread ... im up to page 67 so far and I'll eventually get through all 103 pages. I'm ssooooo keen to get myself a KLR650 now and get out for an adventure ride.
..... oh, and you're a bastard for reminding me of how much I loved backpacking across the world and how badly living in one place and having a career can suck some times
.... but the money is nice.

I can't see anything wrong with a Multiuse bike like a BMW/KTM 990 Adventurer etc etc & ACTUALLY getting out there & seeing the world by bike would be fantastic.
Imagine actually "living" some of your life instead of dreaming about it!
I have had the privilege of riding a KTM 950 Adventurer that was raced in the Australian Safari a few years ago & it was a HEAP of fun, had the twin Akra's on it & sounded horn, did awesome powerslides on it on the bitumen & was a fun wheelie bike.
Craig's previous favourite bike was his VTR1000 as it was a good all rounder, but after getting the KTM he reckoned it did everything the VTR could as well as go offroad/trailride & jump it. He reckoned doing 180kph on the dirt was an incredible experience in the Safari.
I think it would be a much better idea to ACTUALLY try one of these bikes instead of baggin it, & BTW what do you ride ZZRchicky?
A ZZR250?
