I Didn't say the zed was slow Tanya, if memory serves Stereo is a faily "Large unit" & I think the 12r is a better all rounder in that instance.
Your Zed is a great bike as is the zed7.5 but none of them are a 9 & the 10 didn't get a mention.
I'd buy a 10r if i was looking, but thats just me

WTF???.....the 03 Zthou I rode didn't need any encouragement to lift the front purely on power, no clutch required, and I ain't no feather weight. The Z750 loaner I've had a few times lifts the front pretty happily tooWattie wrote:i said i own a Z and go for the 12,
if you go from 6 to Z you be dissappointed in handling and wind etc, 12 is more refined and faster and less windy..
if you a tough carnt like me, get a Z i love it. but needs more neddies so i can chuck wheelies easier...

To be honest Stereo both are freakin awesome bikes and buckets of fun, ride both (and as many other bikes as you can get a leg over) and them pick either. They are both gunna put a smile on your dial.

Agree........go ride a few different bikes, and buy the one YOU really like.

There are really only two questions in life. 1.Which way do i go? 2.What is the lap record?

probably cos he'd break it, have u seen the size of the guy??..he wouldnt be able to fit his ego on it either..ask dr stereo..PPPLLLLEASE...chameleon wrote:Why arnt you considering the 10R?
nah just stirrring...
i think he left the 10r out cos it a much sportier, compact, race bred bike, whereas the other 2 hes picked are more comfortable and more relaxed for longer rides..that being said, guys like Mick C ride long ways on the 10r..but each to his own...
mate i want a z, simply cos its not as common, it looks cool, i like nakeds, they look mean, and i just want one...
good advice has been given tho, ride what u can, check em all out, make ur own decision...

While most of the time motorbikes.be is a useful tool for technical comparisons, its a little off in that case.tanyathecheeky wrote:http://www.motorbikes.be/en/compare/4660/2662/
Brett please explain how the zed is slow?
same HP as your bike and a little lighter

comparison on zed and a 12
check here:
http://sportrider.com/bikes/146_Weights ... /#kawasaki
the Z is 5-7rwhp down to the 98 onwards 9R's, and 30lbs heavier
also ran quite a bit slower in testing here:
http://sportrider.com/bikes/146_perf_nums/#kawasaki
the 1/4 mile times on that site are a bit funny, as the bike have been butchered so they dont wheelie and have a professional drag racer riding them, lucky to get a few passes out of a clutch.
but you can see the trap speeds are vastly higher on the 9R's, likewise the roll-on times

that said, get a 9R, or mayyybe a 12R

if your going to kill a bronze, you gotta do it BIG!
