2004 zx6r for $10,499??????
Simple. Kawasaki bikes are so nice, after you buy one you're smitten with it and want to keep it for ages. It takes at least four or five years before the new model is so much nicer than yours that you finally trade it in. That's why noone's putting their '04 or '05 6R on the market.hidepenny wrote:there's just very few 2003+ zx6r available on the market for some reasons, i don't knwo if the sales were bad in those years or what, however when i compared the equlivent bikes from honda and yamaha, they have plenty more options.
Whereas H#ndas are so shite (I remember THREE CBRs overheating in the Citylink tunnel during the MRAA protest against the $50 safety levy) you're already wanting to get rid of the bastard thing within months of buying it. That's why there's so many more of 'em in the classifieds.
All seems perfectly logical to me

You have to remember, no offence to older bike owners.... but in the year 02/01/00/99 the Kwaka bikes were far behind the others cosmetically....
I know this is a kwaka site and I should support all things quaka, but the average bike rider out there would say that the 99 onward R6 was better looking than the K. and the 00 onwards Gixxer was hotter too.... The CBR when it came out had the under tail exhaust and people loved it... thats why it was so popular... sure kwaka has done that too, but too late... now its expected....
Trends are cumulative, after nearly 4 years of having models look older.... they bring out a newer hotter bike, it doesnt matter....... it takes a while for perceptions to swing back...
I think that the 03/04 model bike was the hottest thing in 03/04, just like the 98 model was the hottest in 98..... and the 05 model is one of the hottest bikes in 05/06.... Although others are gearing up to take the lead...
The world is round. It has no point.
