Seriously though its not that tough. If you,ve got the work shop manual you'll be fine. Just think about everything twice before you do anything.
The biggest hassle is supporting the bike. If you have a stand that sits under the drop outs, (ie, not the lower triple clamp) it's a bit harder but not impossible. I don't have a stand at all and use the following method for verything that requires the front wheel to come out.
You need-
-two reasonable tie downs (I just use the ones out of my trailer).
-A carport or roof or beam of some sort that will happily cope with 100kg.
-Two 6" lengths of plumbing pipe or some heavy rags.
Having got that stuff;
-Wheel the bike under the beam at right angles and stop with the bars just forward of the beam. Leave the bike in gear!
-Loosen off every thing you think you'll need to while its firmly on the ground. Leave one triple clamp a little bit tight though.
-Slide the pipe or wrap the rag over the handle bars, making sure that the inside end of the grip is covered, especially underneath.
-Fasten the long end of the tie-down to the beam above, use the hooks to latch over the beam or to loop back onto it self as knots can break!!!!!!!!
These need to be about handle bar width apart.
-Now attach the rachet end of the tie-down to the handle bar. Move them as far in as possible.
-Take the slack up on the side with out the stand (right side) first. Make sure to have a couple of wraps of fabric on the rachet so that it has a good grip.
- Now gently stand the bike as up right as you can and then take some tension up with rachet on the left.
-Get the bike level/square, then simply add one rachet movement at a time until the tyre is just off the deck.
I've probably done this over 30 times and have never had a problem. It's not how the pro's do it but it works and is safe. (ish) Just dont let kids, neighbours or any body else go near it. If it did come down, it would be ugly.
As for the fork seals, not that hard if you use your noggin. Think twice, do it once, equals no fuck ups.
