I word of caution when using these.. I agree they are a great idea and beat trying to attatch tie downs to forks etc. but they pull on your grips and the throttle grip is held by the switchblock. The switch block is located to the bar by a small plastic lug. if you do them too tight it breaks the lug off. Been there done that  I don't know if this makes sense :?

I didn't think of that JP. In fact, I tied my bike down by the grips for the first time (usually go round the fork legs), and the bike is still on the trailer  so I haven't checked to see how it went yet....

I had a set of those and they bent the handlebars on my zx9.!!!
Admittedly the bars were your aluminium tube racing style and may not be as strong as the stock type.
I'd prefer the ones that clamp your wheel down as they don't put any load on the bars or compress the forks..

Get a deal on these and I'm in..!!!

I would love one of them, are they rear only?
Maybe I could use that with the handle bar type with a really light tension to assist with extra stability?
I have had one bike come off a ute in my time and it is not a pretty sight seeing your bike being dragged behind you  it pays to have a secondary measure as a secure backup IMO.
