Couldn't agree more. But I hasten to add. Kawai got crucified on ride quality with their harsh damped models prior to the 05. This year they have gone plush as you like (as you noticed) which has sacrificed some cornering quality.
The good news is it only takes a couple of turns with a flathead and you have yourself a whole new bike. After tuning my suspension my bike was completely transformed.
Oh, and by replacing the factory can with an Akra you save about 4kg of high mounted ballast.
As for 10R v 6R. I know of a guy who laps faster (as in 1.37s) on a 6RR than my mate on a 10R (1.41s). Of course it's rider ability and that's my point. I would rather be a fast 600/636 rider everyday of the week.
