Perth sounds good to me.
I've done Perth to Phillip Island and back 9 times, crossing the Nularbor is a cinch.
Don't ride as if you own the road.......

We have a corner - it is at the end of the 90 mile straight, between Caiguna and Balladonia on the Eyre Highway.
