This is what I am using for the CB350..... its tiny but works great in the total loss set up (starter motor still fitted)
http://www.racingbatteries.com.au/information.html

Dimensions 90 x 29 x 95mm
Weight 380g
Capacity 1.1 Ah
Cranking Power 35 PCA
Max Charge Voltage 14.4V
Max Charge Current 1.6A
Minimum Permissible Voltage 8V
Whr 13.2 Whr

Cost was about $200 + the charger $177 which is used once every two weeks
was not cheap but I wanted something that would last & Leon@RacingBatteries.com.au came highly recomended

You could buy direct from the UK & get cheaper but I wanted to buy local (Lane Cove) so any warranty issues could be easy & if I need a spare I could grab one within a day, This battery is in a sealed case not just wrapped in plastic, & the terminals are heavy duty, charger is pretty fancy too, suppose you get what you pay for ;)

Mine is an SSB Powersport. They have come down from $138 to $99. They have a stational 12 month warranty, but says it should be charged completely once every 180 days when in storage.

thanks Max - yep the SSB looks like a good option. But the price differences are a bit howyagoin ???

SSB - from that website - quoted me $310 inc. postage for an LTX14-BS, from Sydney.

On ebay - same battery $240 posted from Adelaide.

It is a SSB Powersort LITX5L-BS. It's for the dirt bike so it's a bit smaller than the ones in the road bikes, but they had the bigger models there. It's got $138 on the label, but the shop guy said they have come down in price recently and are only $99 now. I got it from CJ's Motorcycles in Oak Flats. It might be worth giving them a ring and asking what price the big jobbie for sports bikes are worth. They can also post them, unlike old style batteries.

That is the standed (ultra light)replacement lithium for the 11 to 13 10r,has more CCA's than the factory battery.
The battery in my bike is a LFP14H-BS (ultra light)series and I got quoted $115.00 + today. The rep came out and let us know a bit more about these lithium batteries. You can use a standed charger on these (prismatic plate)) ones and they don't blow up like the cell styles have been known to do at times .
Let me know if ya want one. :kuda:

thanks Max - pm sent :kuda:

I think that little lithium could be the goods for both the 2fiddy track bikes ?? The FZ250 is still electric start, but the s1 250/3 is kick or roll-start only, so that itty-bitty battery should be just fine.....

Looking forward to getting a good starting battery in the barge, its getting a bit of a winter tidy-up and detail at the moment for the spring/summer season.....

I've got a Shorai for my track car. I also thought they'd sent a 'display-only' empty box...

Don't yet know how it will cope, but it seems to be a quality unit.

By the way, if you read the guff it says they should hold charge for longer than lead batteries, so unless you have leakage current somewhere you should not need to charge it up?
