Glasses

I've also worn glasses for the last ten years and don't have any issues.
It depends on the helmet though as some are more comfortable than others.
I normally use a Shoei and this is fine. I sometimes use an AGV which can be a little tight and pushes down on the glasses.
I used to have some of the Titanium frames but found the arms were too flexible and it made putting the glasses on difficult with a tight helmet.

@ dickfaber mentioning aging, wash your mouth out.. Great tips thanks. Im going to pop into specsavers or opsm after ive picked new helmets, nose pads great idea!

@ Stuzrx "worst part was remembering to take them off before taking my helmet off" That will be on par with me remembering to ride with my mouth shut (when im on the dirty ) so i dont bite my tongue (again ).. I've heard of Cat Crap anti fog I'll see if MissD can help me out there. I agree flexible hinges are a must

@ Daz9R I have a shoe, but are in need of an upgrade for road and dirt.. i'll get a pair for each .. and try them out in the shop

Hi Poss.
I had glasses. Got them when I was an adult (maybe 27-ish I'm guessing). I hated, hated, hated them. And I hated riding in them. Yeah, I had fogging issues. And if I cracked the visor to de-fog, I'd get splatters on my glasses, or they'd fog up. I do fog more than a lot of people (I reckon it's coz I'm such awesome hot shit!) though. And I'm sure it wasn't as bad as it felt, but since I hated, hated, hated them anyway, the teeniest inconvenience would piss me right off. I'd be furious at tiny things like, not being able to walk in mist / non-existent drizzle, because I'd have to stop and wipe these bloody fukkaked glasses to see properly. AAAAAAARRRRRRGRGGGGHHHHH! Did I mention that I *really* hated them??? And that was before I rode a dirt bike (goggles would shit me up the wall with glasses), and when I wasn't doing much scuba diving.

Anyway, long story short, I got lasik. Definitely made a huge difference to me - I can deal with big problems, but the annoying little niggly irritating shit just sucks the happy out of me! And for me, having glasses was a constant tsunami of thousands of annoying little niggly irritating shit bombarding me! There is no zen possible while having those things perched precariously on your nose. Seriously, the day I realised I'd just adjusted them completely unconsciously, (nerd-like, pushing directly up on the over the nose bit) and therefore was now a different person, a GLASSES WEARING PERSON, instead of just a person who was temporarily wearing glasses... I'll admit it, I burst into tears of self-pity

So happy I got the lasik, let me tell you!

Cost me $6K, but I went to the best place I could find (was a little nervous about the whole laser / eyeball thing), and my health fund would've given me $1500 of that back (if I had've read the fine print). And that was a while ago - I'm pretty sure it's quite a bit cheaper now, so still look into it.
I never tried contacts, but if I wasn't able to get lasered, I planned on trying contacts, so don't feel too bad - there are options!

I got sick of painting on the speedo bezel at the 60 kph and 100 kph positions with white out, glasses were shite to wear so bit the bullet and went to Sydney and the Sydney Eye Institute in North Sydney did both eyes for $2,500 and that was 8 years ago, still need readers for darker rooms and print below 8 point but the pleasure to ride and be able to see the speedo or street names is great and has not diminished since that time .
