Thanks for all the suggestions. While some have been more 'creative' than others
I may have solved any further problems.
I had lodged a query on-line and the RTA/RMS have advised that the problem has been sorted.
Seems the dopes at the dealers transferred the rego to me rather than themselves.

Haven't heard any more Poss, but it may take a while.
