Have spotted the ones in Supercheap and am tempted to pick one up but would prefer something that can also do gas aswell as gas less for when in getting my hand back into it.
Any recommendations welcome.
.. mate of mine just bought a CIGWELD 135 (on my recommendation) that Supercheap had on special last week for $299 ( I note its back to its normal $389)
it is a gas/gasless machine that comes complete .. 1kg spool of gasless wire, mask and a hose connection for gas plus a bonus .. it runs off a 10A outlet

he was looking at the imported italian MIGS on ebay for the roughly the same $ ($300-350) but I reckon the CIG MIG is a better unit and with a gas bottle
...will weld just about anything (inc stainless and aluminium)

keep an eye out I reckon
GOTTA LUV the 12R!!

It's the cost of bottle rental that kills having a gas mig for the average handyman.

$14 a month from some places which isn't too bad if you're using it often enough

Hey Mike-s, that's actually not too bad considering.
Gasless too.
Gee, I just remembered.. I have a Mig-O-Mag 220 stored at my Folks Shed. Used to us it around 20 years ago. Still have the G sized Argon bottle still attached. Thats when BOC used to be CIG. Don't tell anyone... :cheesy:
