Just read this

.. not good.
Bought my bike there from Ken, and knew Mick while he was at cochranes rd (just in front of my work). Simply great guys who knew me by first name. Always have my tyres, services there.
They were always happy to help. Even when I came in with half-assembled forks trying to unscrew that bottom bolt

.
Good luck for them.

I bought my bike from them too.
Plus they looked after all the servicing and repairs until I moved to a different area.
I always thought Mick owned it? was that not the case?

Went to the auction today. Quite sad to see it go but snapped a couple of items at least.
Wish I could have bought the Kawasaki signs but they went for too much $$$

Yep my thoughts exactly,I wonder if people purchased to on sell and unfortunate people might get a bike they think has warranty still...........

I wrote down the prices .. I have them at home so I'll update tonight what they sold for.
They said on the day the new bikes came with warranty, the used were "as is"

That makes more sense. Kawasaki Australia would have to honour the warranty on a new bike.

Indeed 'Brighton Kawasaki' has closed down.
Michael Bubb and business partner Fiona Marlow sadly closed the doors at the end of the 2011/2012 financial year.
We are now operating as A1 Kawasaki (03) 9557-6000.
A number of investors including John Buskes (recently elected president of the VACC and owner/operator of A1 Motorcycles & Scooters in Brighton & Ringwood) and Patrick Li (up and coming Asian Road Championship and ASBK rider)
have indeed rescued the Kawasaki franchise in the Melbourne suburb of Brighton. Although in it infancy and undergoing some necessary restructuring and renovations, the dealership is currently open for business.
At the moment, most of the staff previously employed by 'Brighton Kawasaki' are scattered around within the A1 network of dealerships and workshops.
Frank (head mechanic) Detlyn (2 stroke and jet ski specialist) Brady (sales manager) Jamie (parts interpreter) and me, Chris (Business Manager) are all now employees of the A1 Group.
So in response to some of the comments on this forum. Brighton Kawasaki has not 'gone to shit'. It's completely gone.
A1 will be providing the full range of Kawasaki services such as bike sales, parts and service with a fresh, professional outlook into the future. Our level of commitment to our customers are 2nd to none.
A lot of you who would have met me in the past from 2006-2010, will know I generally bend over backwards to make sure the reason for you visit or phone call is dealt with and completed by the right person in our team to ensure your return / repeat business.
Those of you who have not met me or don't remember me, don't hesitate to come down and visit.
I’m really not trying to make this in to an add, I just wanted to put the facts out there.
Thank you.

I should say...welcome
and also, you guys need to let Kawasaki Oz know you are in business.
An hour ago, I searched their site looking for the nearest dealer to me ( I am 1 km from you and wanting parts)
and the reply??.. Sharptune Dandenong or Peter Stevens City
my suggestion is...provide the service to riders (of bikes, parts etc) and people will return
