Was this a jap spark plug? I can't remember the last time I've seen a jap plug fail.KiwiMat wrote:Turns out it was spark plug, not coils, 4 new plugs, back on 4 cylinders, can get on with balancing carbs now.

Yep, NGK made in Japan. Thats why stupid me went and got a coil, i cleaned up the plug anyway, and presumed it wasnt the plug, cause i have never had a plug fail.Mister_T wrote:Was this a jap spark plug? Hmm, a bit fishy how the problem moved with the coil. Still, a fix is a fix.KiwiMat wrote:Yep, NGK made in Japan. Thats why stupid me went and got a coil, i cleaned up the plug anyway, and presumed it wasnt the plug, cause i have never had a plug fail.
I'm half looking into the so-called "stick coils" for the GPX and maybe eventually the RC17 (as if I don't have enough to do on them already).

I put stick coils on my ZRX1200, and ZZR1200. Worked well, with a harnesses from a ZRXOA member.
