Not that I've seen you ride Neka, and nor do I claim to be an expert myself, but if you look at every pro racers bike I think you'll find shift lights. Even the F1 guys have them.

I think Narfie was just pointing out that his shed has plenty of lighting

I'm sure its not for everyone neka79, and a few have mentioned the same type of comments before. One thing I like people to consider, is do you currently use your tacho? If not, can you see any benefit in using it. Its the main guage on motorbikes and high performance vehicle, but not often used because its difficult to read. It's one question to ask if the tacho is needed, and another to ask if you could see it, would you use it.
I've had people use it for 1/4 miles shifting, overspeed alert, training, racing... even newbies learning to use the whole rev range they never knew of. But I appreciate your comments, personal preference will always rule

I have just received mine today, and have it partly installed on my ZX9R.
To be honest, I have it mostly for bling, but having those lights there is usefull for things like estimating your speeed without takin gyour eyes off the road.. Having a good idea of you corner speed and if you have increased it since last time... In the heat of hte moment when you bounce off redline and lose valuable speed...
Of course we can all hear when the bike needs to change gears, but theres a lot more to it than that. I admit I have it mostly for bling, but as far as functionality goes, most F1 cars have a similar thing going on mounted on the steering wheel if I'm not mistaken. There is purpose behind it.

now now, lets not get sassy!!
you know what was meant by that statement. People were saying that its a stupid thing to have on a bike because you could just hear when you need to change gears. I am sure F1 drivers are more than able to hear the engine better than any of us.

Prices are going up next month.
FYI... Only have 4 of the curved ones left now that can be customised.
I do have 20+ of the curved already built with GGGGAAR & BBBBBRR.
Straight versions I still have plenty.
