Re: Almost time to upgrade - ZX6R questions
I'll have around 13k budget wise but if I get a stock 636 for a reasonable amount I can use the rest to get some decent tyres/exhaust etc and take a week off work and go on a road trip

Maybe I'm still getting used to things but I went for a half day trip and was in complete agony at the end of it..sore back knees and wrists!robracer wrote: As for comfort the 636 is good for an all day stint without sore wrists & numb bum so commuting will be no worries, have fun testing

09+! Even if just for the ease of reselling it later... it gets that much harder to sell an older sportbike because everyone seems to want the latest fashion in this market.
I have an 09 track bike and it might have biased my opinion somewhat but I love that thing.

Thats why a bargain can be had in the 05 06
If you are concerned about value & selling a bike before you have bought it then buy the latest model & trade it every year.
The 05 636 I have is value for money & I have never considered selling it ... it is insured for 10K which is way more than market value so its a win win for me.

new zx-6 is great on the road and track, awesome radial brakes, steering damper etc, backlimiter clutch, big thing is it has a casette gearbox, this keeps the repair cost down if you do a selector. o and the big piston forks AWESOME!
