Speaking to SteveCutting (ex Aust superbike rider) he reckons that EC has been getting slower & slower as the surface has deteriorated over the years..... well that has changed with the resurfacing of some corners I am looking forward to seeing many class lap records drop this season.

Troy Corser and Leon Haslam worked on tire grip, electronics and settings, while Corser seemed very satisfied about the test and by the fact he set a new lap record 1:29.5, Haslam seems slightly less enthusiastic, as his best time was 1:30.5, one second slower than his veteran team mate.

how a 15yr old 500 has held the record for this long is absolutly fuking amazing full credit to criville ,with modern bikes tyres ,riders ect surely lap times would have come down a bit more before now i.e a stock 08 zx-10r will do 1.41 straight out of the box with a fast rider. Well done BMW.
