I changed to race pattern once.. after an "emergency brake", I shifted the wrong way and had no engine braking...
I'd rather miss an up change (and I do) than a down change, so went back to std.. and my quickshifter doesn't work in race pattern..
I think its a case of "old dog, new trick" with me though..

From memory, Mat Mladin uses road shift and so do a few other top racers, but most use race pattern...

your quckshift doesnt work in street pattern either :lol: :lol:

Gardner, Mladin, & Doohan didnt use it so Im not. I have tried it but its no avantage IMO.

havent used it for more than 300m collectively but I like the bashing down of gears into corners like Honda MG and turn 2 at ec. So i'll leave it as is.

Get used to the bike first ;)
