Re: gpz 750 turbo
well guys just been delt a big blow ,on closer inspection i have discovered my bike gpz750 turbo doesnt have a turbo on it.i have surfed the net and believe the bike was a turboed bike but now im not sure, does anyone know how i can really tell through engine numbers ect.the bike has the turbo boost guage and all the stickers but i guess that doesnt mean a thing,on the rego papars it is classed as a zx750e.

Re: gpz 750 turbo
it would run like a low-comp z750 ...basically gutless as buggery ! What a crock, HB Bear if the seller sold this to you as a Turbo bike, you need to pay him a visit with a few mates and a baseball bat !!!
The turbo is pretty easy to spot if its there.....you don't need engine numbers or anything like that.

No worries bear, bought it new in 83,one of the 1st in the country.h.b.bear wrote:Well thanks for the post kawadave, had a gander at your pix and i started drawling ,WOW very nice bike looks great puts my old girl to shame but hopefully one day i will be able to show mine off.Is yours original or a full resto job.Anyway if i need some info i give you a call. Thanks
It sat dormant for 8 or so years and started to get a bit untidy so decided to pull her down completely and freshen it up.
2packed the frame, tins and associated bits and rebuilt the top end.
After joining 750turbo.com,added a few mods,BOV,adjustable FPR,intercooler, liquid filled boost gauge, boost controller, put it in race mode and fitted a K&N filter straight on to the turbo, removed the original plastic air duct and have a straight through exhaust.
All these mods benefit the longevity of these rockets and make them go harder.
A couple of guy's on the pommy forum have managed to extract over 200mph runs on these old things.
