Hi Mate,
I can definately recommend MIck HOne and his Factory Pro jet kit if you want to go that way. My 2008 ZRX1200 has their " 1.1 kit with titanium needles, 38 pilot, needles middle clip (3rd from top), 100/102 mains, STANDARD air filter and standard length yoshi bolt on, you might want next size up mains as the K&N will flow more air up top. Mine pulls hard to 250k, is smooth everywhere else, still as good on fuel as standard or maybe better cruising but WILL use more if using the extra horses. Its a similar setup to what MCN did with theirs last year. To give you a comparison, my mate has identical bike but he is 20 kilos lighter than me, he could pull away noticeably in any gear when both stock, now mine is level with him up to 6 grand and then mine easily pulls away from his now. Yours will be VERY lean with K&N & the Yosh fitted, I would suggest dangeroursly lean, you need to take the plunge and re-jet (your Kwaka dealer or any good workshop can do it), dynoing it wont do anything other than prove how lean it is, so long as they check af ratio that is!
Hope you dont mind me sticking my nose in, i have been a mechanic for 30 plus years and i just hate people getting burned or wasting their time and money and not at least being armed with the knowledge up front. If your in Melbourne there are lots of good workshops, I have dealt with Mick HOne (a long time ago) and recently Phil Tainton (excellent bloke) or up in Sydney - MIck Dyer Motorcyles at Penrith is VERY knowledgeable but is old school and does not need/want a dyno.
hope this helps,
A.E.
