Re: Swingarm conversion
How much shorter is the 09 model swingarm than the 04-05?
I have fitted an 05 to my zxr, but it is approx 30mm longer than the stocker on an already long wheelbase, so would prefer to get it back to at least the stock length.

Re: Swingarm conversion
the 09 swingarm is about 25mm shorter than the 04 05 swingarm from what i noticed by the chain adjusters after installing it having to adjust the chain back a fair bit

Re: Swingarm conversion
If you didn't shorten the chain and just moved the wheel back in the swingarm you have improved nothing but the look. The wheel is still the same distance away from the swingarm pivot piont so its just a look thing at this stage. It still has the same wheel base untill you shorten the chain and move that wheel forward the 25mm.ZX-10R_04 wrote:the 09 swingarm is about 25mm shorter than the 04 05 swingarm from what i noticed by the chain adjusters after installing it having to adjust the chain back a fair bit
The link and shock change may have a affect but the swingarms not giving you all the inprovments it could.
I love my new ZX10. It scares the shit out of me.
