re: wots ksrc stand for ?
I came here because I ride a Kawasaki, but thats not why I stayed. When I started here I had 20+ people post welcoming me to the group. Respect for newbies and newbie questions is not a universal trait in online forums.
KSRC is well run, no flames and trolls and all that crap you get in unmoderated forums. When someone needs a hand there's no shortage of help here, thats the spirit I want to see out on the road.

Well, I would prefer members to have a kwakka as it is a defined kwakka site, however Iam quite happy with other types as long as we remain a friendly happy family in here, which also may come at a cost if we get too many members.

Never mind Tack, they even let me on in here, with Mr Tourer ER-5...
There is a photo on here somewhere, with the saddlebags on...tragic really...
But yeah, mostly this group is more mature in attitude, and thus why it manages to remain mostly unmoderated...why anyone joins a X-brand forum with X-brand sucks as a username is beyond comprehension...it is showing complete lack of brain at the least.
Then we had Stalker, who went to great lengths to tell us how much of a knob he was (in advance for some reason), and then he went to great lengths to prove it...why bother?

re: wots ksrc stand for ?
It is a bit strange as I wouldn't join say a Handon group calling myself zx9r or something (I wouldn't join a Honundai group anyway). But then again, this is much better place to be than any Hondoddo group...
Neverthless, members have friends, friends aren't always that smart and they may ride something bad... Surely a small percentage of non Kawi's is ok.. as long as they behave themselves..
I think it reflects well on us that riders of other bikes want to join our group.
As Mick said, we need someone to pick on, the rest of us are near on perfect...

our Website does say......
If you own a z, gpz, gpx, zzr, zxr, zrx, zx2, zx6, zx7, zx9, zx12 or any other sportsbikes of any capacity this is the place to be.
Even if you don't own a Kawasaki you can still join.
and I reckon that says a lot about us.....
the newbies on the ZZr250s, the young blokes on 9Rs, Suzi Gixxers
or them Hoooonds cough (neka I am talking about you !)
or the older (ummm..more experienced

are all welcome
we are pretty easy going, people from all states get together
there is a bit of laid back ribaldry, a fair bit of race 'talk'
all centred around bikes (and our lives around bikes)
no politics (thankKerist for that!) and a concern for your 'bike' mate*
which makes this place cool........
and better than most other clubs groups or forums
my 2c
* that includes you too...ladies, female and girl riders
cheers

If people want to join, it should be taken into account that this is a KAWASAKI forum. I don't understand why you melbournites seem to be actively recruiting people with other makes to join.. and especially netrider people

And I don't think that you used to own means shit, it's what you ride NOW that is relevant. I come here to talk and look at pics of kwakas, Not Suzuki TL's, GSXR's, Honda's or any other make. We've had some, but look through the member list, how many of the recent vic joiners actually are kawasaki people??
Leave it to relatives of kwaka riders, people like Neka that you can't seem to get rid of

My 0.02C worth,
We really set a benchmark here for how things should be. The more riders the more rides. The more riders the better the advice and the friendships, as i recently found out after my off.
So what if not 100% are on kwikas, we'll all brow beat them into it eventually, in the mean time pile the shit on (in the nicest caring sharing way).
I say when we got it this good (as in here at KSRC) don't rock the boat and screw it up.
Besides if I cant get a replacement kwika, you'll need an ATOM BOMB to get me outta here

re: wots ksrc stand for ?
i take offence to that comment...wen i joined ksrc a mere 5 fukking years ago, i was riding a zx6r....it was more than just the bike that kept me a ksrc'ian....it was the group of freinds i bought..er made...
if u wanna get technical we spend more time drinking together than riding, so maybe we SHOULD go with the guzzi boy's slogan "a drinking club with a motorcycle problem"...i also STILL ride a kwakka, my kdx200 sits in my shed...my last recruit to the club was a L plater gal on a zzr250, i use to work for a kwaka /honda dealer, i still have pics of my zx6r all over my wall, i still like beer, and ill b fuked if ne1 is gunna boot my ass simply cos i got a good deal on a honda & cant condone spending $20k just so i can have the kwakka i want...when i have a honda thats got everything i need....
oh dave, what were u goin on abt discriminating about??
ppl join this site cos theres a good bunch of helpful guys on here, and mario and rob....i dont care wot u ride, if its got 2 wheels or tits, its gunna hurt ya...gggrrr im so bloody angry...

All what, 3 of them ?
It's the personalites that make this place work. if people dont fit in they wont stick around. The bikes we ride are important, but secondary to the people we are.
We aren't actively recruiting netriders, we just got a couple who joined up cos they are good mates with members, and then a few more followed them. They all came in a short amount of time and it's not something that is likely to continue.
Only one non-kwaka member has had much of an impact, and he's left cos he didn't fit in ( he wasn't technically invited as most of the non-kwaka owners are, just was on our ride )
I think you're freaking out about nothing, we had a couple of interesting weeks but this community is strong enough to handle that and now we're back to the way we always have been.
I'm a bit unhappy with some of the hostility being shown here, I thought we were better than that. Lets at least give em a chance.
I'm off to get more bourbon.
