I take it you dont have the revenue racers down there? They have all sorts of things up here, VW Golf, Lancers, Ford utes and sedans, Holden S and SS utes and sedans, Mazdas etc etc. They are supposed to be getting a couple of litre bikes soon too, and mounting vaginas in the saddle who will be wearing leathers, with no markings to give them away.

Dont get me wrong, I think a VISIBLE police presence on the roads is a good thing. If someone sees a marked copper, they check their speed and slow down if needed. What they are doing up here now is blatant revenue raising. Having unmarked cars and bikes on the road does NOTHING to slow people down, it just allows the sneaky pricks to make their monthly quotas and flesh out their christmas bonus's.
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle.

I disagree 100%. However, I've given up bashing my head against the wall trying to provide commonsense rationale for the things the Police do, so you're free to continue believing whatever you want.

you could check out this site that someone sent to me, I've never used it so I can't vouch for its effectiveness

a) You don't think you could see a bike at 315 metres???? Might be time to speak to your optometrist, or hand in your licence.
b) Targetting a bike at 315 metres is piece of piss.
c) That Aussiespeedingfines website is a joke and anyone who sends them a single cent is wasting their money. The letter they give you, to send to the Police, is some of the funniest stuff I've ever read and obviously written by a moron who only intends to make money off of suckers.

I don't usually buy into these threads, but that's just bollocks. Just like the crazy cagers on the road, the ones I see aren't the ones I'm worried about, it's the ones I can't pick at 300 metres that worry me. One of the things that helps keep me in check on the road is the knowledge that around every corner might be an umarked coppper with a hair dryer hoping to deplete my bank balance.

Now as a race god I know it's safe for *me* to speed on the road, but I *hope* some of the useless pricks I share the road with might think twice before treating the road like their own private racetrack.

If its a common sense rationale from the police's point of view, why have fatalities and serious injuries increased on the roads in Queensland last year? If having so many unmarked cars on the road "making it safer" has made it safer, I think I have missed something in the "rationale". I see more unmarked cars these days than marked, and yet somehow my belief that its revenue raising is misguided. I have never had the "common sense rational" explained to me, so until someone such as yourself does, I will continue to rail against the use of sneaky tactics to catch people out.
