Holy Shit, the slow wobbly one returns, must have just come out of hibernation for the summer I guess.

True Adrian, but it is very mild in a diluted form, I used it for 7 years on an alloy tray on the ute from new with no signs of deterioration, it worked a treat. I never left it on to soak......, just a light spray then hose off. oh.... detergent will strip the wax off your paint work as well.Slow and wobbly wrote:CT18 is on the caustic side so don't put it near aluminium.

I use Kero for the excess chain wax on the rims & undertail, its not a solvent so no damage

I find a good wet weather ride tends to clean things up pretty well
until I have to get to my back gate.. booo! dirt!!

Mate, I use that water soluable degreaser in a can. I dont actual spray it all over my tyre but onto a rag and then carefully wipe the side wall to remove the tar and chain wax.
I use that crap on my rims too, the same way.
