most common way ive heard of doing it is with a elec car aerial solanoid...
mount plate on a spring so it pushes back up, then mount solanoid behind, wire to bar....cheap 7 easy so im told...

i got one yonks ago & the bastard works,
the idea is not too hit the button when u see the filth'
but hit it early , do the deed , then flip it back!
it works
they will stay in the hidden mode all day if you want
but you never heard it from me
i use it for of road use only
