Thanks for the comments.. I am very particular about my bikes.. hence the look of this one..!!

It is perfect.. and actually at the VIV inspection, the guy commented on the look of perfection.. "like a new bike"

It rides so well also...

First off, the frame is straight.. perfect in fact... the bike was flipped, broke the rear subframe right off.. broke the rear indicator / tail light section, left hanging by the wires.. destroyed the undertail. Rolled over to the tank where it stoved that in also damaging the screen, broke the rearset, lucky that huge ugly stock muffler took the brunt of the slide and wore that away.. tore through the 2 side engine casings.. which looked like an alien had exploded out of them... wore off the right bar end and smashed the mirror. Of course there was also the side fairing damage, which was on all three sections of the right side and also the ducktail. So that was what I had to lok at...

Got the bike home and totally stripped it down to reveal no further damage.. did a full inventory on what I required as in brand new parts from Japan.. (they where the most expensive - rear subframe, engine covers) then through my contacts in the USA I tracked down the rest of the components (as well as my contacts here in Aust and also on this forum..!!) I had 3 shipments arriving each 7 - 10 days.. which kept me busy each week doing it bit by bit.. In the end completely rebuilding the bike really in 6 weeks, then the extra 2 weeks for the VIV inspection, Roadworthy and finally registration (next week)..

So that is the story... A good winter project for me.. I am looking at rebuilding some other bikes.. being an 04 - 05 ZX10. So if you see me advertising one, you can be assured that theu will be rebuilt perfectly. I was going to fix this one up and sell it.. but as it came together so well, I decided that it was a keeper.. so the 07 was sold...

Stand by for the modded pictures.. it looks even better..!!!

Plus I might have a motogp style carbon fibre exhaust for sale very soon.. brand new... for the 08 ZX10 if anyone is interested..??

Yes definitely well worth the purchase price, and I allowed approx for the parts and re-build, I was pretty close and then the VIV (Govt. Rip Off..!!) Roady and rego.. I have won with plenty to spare.. I forgot to say, that this bike had only done 955k's when I picked it up..!!! Not even had it's first service..!!!

So now it is like a brand new bike.. actually feels tight and new as I would expect..

Stand by for the modded pics.. allow me another week or so...
