how do the cops test what the power output of an electric bike is tho, couldn't you just put any powered motor on it and then just put a sticker on like "175watts"

I remember my dad had a mountain bike with an eletric motor and farken hell it used to go fast. Sitting down with a light peddal on a flat surface, flat out was doing 60km/h! i am certainly sure thats not 200watts!
With hard peddlingi think i saw the speedo clock slightly close to 70km/h

This was on a bike track too with no one else around, but jesus it was fast. Battery packs never used ot last more than about 30km's range though so obviously drained the power quickly!

I watched a clip on the net that a guy had put 2 hub motors both 72 volt and making a huge amount of power and he was going up steep hills without peddling!
