Ventura bag is great to go shopping with AFTER youve dont the groceries with the ute, cos it stops you wasting your money on crap ya really dont need so you can save for the ZX12R!
Sidenote recently did a comparison to shopfast and local grocery, to see what was better, saved $32 on groceries and got what I wanted without the bs out of stock crap for the exact same items.
Im going back to the groc store from now on.

thanks for everyone's advice. i just ordered the Ventura rack system. you might be interested to know that the 45L bag has been superceded by the 55L bag for the same price as of two weeks ago. woohoo!

i also discovered its best to shop around... RRP for the 55L rack system was $350, and an extra $150 for the additional 35L bag i ordered. ie $500 RRP. One shop quoted me $490, another shop quoted me $415 and the shop I bought mine from did it for $385 and threw in the backpack straps. ya gotta love mark up!

i ended up buying it at the yamaha shop in slacks creek

i did the right thing though - went into whales and asked them to match it (cos id rather they have the money, yardi-yar) but after wasting 20 mins of my time they threw their hands up in the air and told me to get it from yamaha

....so i did.

Well I just put my Ventura "L" brackets on and they cover the NINJA sign
Still practicallity rules over looks right now. They are very easy to fit and being black match into the bike well enough. When I get down to Melbourne I will go to my tube bender friend and re-design them better.

don,t forget about tank bags as well georgia, if u remember i had mine on , the day we went 2 the natural arch. its very decieving but i can actually fit my helmet inside of it no worries. mines a bagster type, which also comes with its own little raincoat thats concealed in a little zip in the bag.(a bit like the hood on a parka style jacket). the other benefit is the tank cover that the bag clips 2 protects ur tank as well( helps the family jewels on the run up tambo 2, not that u have dangly bits 2 worry about , but its still a bit of padding.)

mine isn't magnetic, the tank cover has straps that clip 2 the underside of the tank, a strap round the frame at the stering head & 1 that goes round the rear bolt bracket 4 the tank. the tank bag then clips 2 the top of the tank cover.

ya. i actually own one of them and was going to combine my packing into one of them and the ventura 55L bag. the only problem is that i have a dri-rider one and also get a little paranoid by the magnets on the tank. nothing that a little velvet cant fix.

picking the rack system up tomorrow. joi

u only have 2 put the tank cover on once scotty then it stays on. takes me bout 10 seconds 2 clip tha bag onto the tank cover. tank cover installation takes round 5 minutes if that, or 15 -20 min. for me cause i get a scotch take the rear seat off, get up the kids 4 runnin away with the 10 mm socket, get it off em, go get another scotch, get up the kids 4 takin the 10mm socket, take front seat off, put tank cover on, get up the kids for takin the 10mm socket.........get my drift........& so on & so forth
